These two days gorillas trekking will start and end in Kigali. The first day will be for traveling from Kigali to Bunagana via Cyanika border. The second day trek gorillas then return to Kigali the same day after the trekking.
Day1. Drive to Bunagana/Jomba
Our driver will meet you at your hotel/home in Kigali, be transferred to Bunagana, cross the border and enter the DRC. On the way, you’ll have spectacular views of the terraces of the Ugandan, Rwandan and DRC mountains. Dinner and overnight at Jomba community camp.
Day 2. Mountain Gorillas trekking and return to Kigali
Early morning, trekkers will head to the rangers station and have a briefing before the gorilla trek. Treks usually require 1-2.5 hours of hiking each way, depending on location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After spending the allotted hour with the gorilla family group, trekkers will make their way back to the camp, then go back to Bunagana, cross the DRC- Uganda border, go to Cyanika, cross the Uganda-Rwanda border and return back to Kigali. Transfer to the Kigali International airport or preferred destination.
